COhatch to Expand with Co-Working and Makerspace in Historic Kilbourne Memorial Building

The City of Worthington plans to welcome COhatch Worthington, LLC into the vacant space in the historic city-owned Kilbourne Memorial Building at 752 High Street. City Council approved a lease agreement with COhatch at its November 7, 2016 meeting.

COhatch is a membership-based model that provides co-working space to small business professionals and entrepreneurs. COhatch recently opened its first co-working location in downtown Worthington. COhatch’s plans include utilizing 2,400 square feet at the southern end of the main floor for co-working, shared or private office space, conference rooms, various business-related events, and add-on services such as printing and fractional administrative support. The north side of the lower level will be turned into a “makerspace,” which is a shared creative workspace that provides equipment and resources for making, learning, and sharing. Depending on what needs are identified in the Worthington community, the space may include technology such as 3-D printers, sound booths and art studios.
